We love helping you find your perfect pet but there are a few things we insist on:
- That you either own your own home - OR - if in rented accommodation, you have the permission of the landlord to keep a pet(s).
- If your household contains children under 5 years of age, an adoption is not guaranteed. The safety of your children and the cat or kitten are paramount.
Adoption Process
Cats/kittens in our care can be found on this website, via our social media accounts (Facebook and CatChat).
Once you have seen a cat that you would like to care for, the first stage of the process is to call us or use the email link on this website.
Lynne, our Re-homing Co-ordinator will chat to you and ask a few questions about your circumstances in order that she could ascertain if the potential match is a suitable one based on a series of criteria. If the initial contact is positive, the chosen cat/kitten will be reserved until a Home Check has taken place.
The next stage is the home check. This involves one of our team visiting your home to ensure that the property is suitable for the cat/kitten and that there are no hidden dangers. Our Home Checker can advise if certain adjustments need to be made in order to ensure a safe environment for the cat/kitten.
The final stage of the process is the viewing which usually takes place at the home of one of our fosterers. During this process, it is feasible that the potential adopter can take the cat/kitten away to their new home.
